André Matta

General Manager in Old San Juan

A Puerto Rican born and raised in the diaspora, Andre decided to explore and honor his roots by moving from Florida to Puerto Rico in 2019 and becoming the General Manager of the ChocobarCortes in Old San Juan. After completing a BS in Finance from The University of Florida in 2013 Andre immediately reaffirmed his passion for service and the culinary arts and has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 10 years including having managed award-winning restaurants. Andre has trained with The Court of Master Sommeliers and The Specialty Coffee Association and brings a charismatic approach to the operations.
